King Frederik VIII 1843-1912

and Queen Louise 1851-1926

Frederik VIII was the oldest son of Christian IX.   He married Louise in 1869, and became King of  Denmark upon his father's death in 1906.  Frederik VIII died just six years later in 1912, but Queen Louise lived until in 1926.  Plaques were issued to commemorate his death in 1912, and matching plaques were issued after her death.  They display nicely as a pair, even though issued 14 years apart.
