Harvard University Plates
Wedgwood issued a set of College Plates for the Harvard University in 1927, the first of many such "sets" of college plates produced by Wedgwood: 12 different views, transfer printed in blue on a 10.25 inch diameter Queensware (fine earthenware) plate, with a fruit and flower border adapted from a c.1840 Staffordshire pattern. Approximately 5000 sets of 12 were produced. They proved so popular that Harvard commissioned several subsequent sets of plates, plus cups and saucers, platters and punch bowls.
Please inquire if interested in other views, as they beome available from time to time.
