Bing & Grøndahl CM5 - CM5A - CM5B

Industrial Exhibition, Malmø 1896

This is one of the few B&G commemorative plates that were produced with known variations, most often seen with a white background and all blue decoration (CM5 -- top photo).  A few plates were made with a dark blue background; the eagle's heads in the shield and on top of the shield in tan; with white and light blue highlights (CM5A -- middle photo).  A third variation (not recorded in Lars Christoffersen's book) combines the two, with a white background and tan eagle heads, and highlights in blue and darker tan (CM5B -- bottom photo).
