Bing & Grondahl Christmas Plates

Bing & Grondahl produced its first Christmas plate in 1895, and it is generally considered to be the first true "collector plate" ever issued.  The designs are molded into the plate in relief, and then hand-painted in cobalt blue.

I am in the process of putting up new pictures for each plate.  Please ask if you are looking for something that you don't see.  All of these plates (along with a HUGE number of other plates) are also pictured and described in the 2004 book on Royal Copenhagen and B&G Christmas and commemorative plates by Lars Christoffersen, which I sell for $35 (Cover Price $49.95). Click HERE for a full description of this book.
